Our client is centrally located between Wallingford and Meriden and has an immediate opening for an experiene Electronics Technician on 2nd shift. The typicaly hours are 8-9 hours a day, with 10
hours of available overtime as well. Temperature controlled and safe work environment. This is a long term position, if not a permanent position for the right candidate. This is an immediate opening. If you have educational experience from a technical school, or 3
years of expereince as an electronics technician, this is a great opportunitity for you.
This requires the operator to perform all tasks involved in the testing of fiber optic cables. This includes cable assembly & testing, fibert optic insertion loss, cable insertion loss testing. Following standard work procedures and practicing safe work habits to ensure a quality product is produced in a manner that is both efficient and safe. This includes, but not limited to the duties and responsibilities listed below.
Primary duties and
Responsibilities:
Read and follow processes and procedures.
Perform work as assigned by Team Leader or Manager.
Ability to identify tooling and component identification knowledge
Maintain a minimum standard quota for each given assignment
Have ability to evaluate any mechanical or material issues.
Pack finished goods into proper packages/boxes and place in designated area
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
Work daily to reduce waste, rework and continual process improvement
This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
Working hours: 2ND SHIFT 3:00PM - MIDNIGHT
This position requires that the operator have an ability to perform the required tasks with a high degree of accuracy. The position requires the worker to possess a high degree of manual dexterity and steadiness in order to handle small objects and perform the intricate fiber work. Employee must be able to read/comprehend written instructions as well as follow verbal direction as necessary.

- Fiber measuring and cutting tools
- Auto-Polisher
- Cable testing machines
- Computer
- Other materials and tools necessary to the production of fiber optic products.
