Our customer has an immediate opening for a quality inspector. This is a growing manufacturing company that has been in business for over 60 years! They specialize in manufacturing aerospace components, mostly small to mid-size parts. The quality department is in an office environment, separate from the manufacturing floor. You will be sitting at a desk, infront of a computer with 4-5 other quality inspectors in the department. This is a definate permanent opening! Hours are 6am to 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday.
Job details:
Inspects all types of gaskets and grommets and details for visual defects under 3X magnification. This may include first piece inspection. Measures inside diameters, cross-sections, lengths, widths, and other dimension as required by drawings and specifications.
Performs simple tests such as leak testing and bond strenth. Record results on Inspection records.
Must be familiar with sampling plans and proper sampl eselection. Incumbent generally establishes own work plan and priorities, using and/or modifying established procedures, to assure timely completion of assigned work in conformance with established department standards; problems lacking clear precedent are usually reviewed with supervisor prior to taking action.
Working hours: 6am to 4:30pm
Duties
Visually verify that all processes relating to elastomer preparation, molding operations and finishing (clearing) is complete and correct
Using inspeciton tooling/gaging dimensionally inspect parts to assure confromity to required dimensional tolerace by accuratelymeasuring inside diameters, cross sections, lengths, widths, and other dimensions
Ensures compliace with blueprint, customer specifications and/or manufacturing drawings
Maintain Inspection records
