May 2023POSITION SUMMARYThis position is for candidates that have completed and passed their NREMT testing, and are pending their certificate numbersThe candidates are required to gain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Connecticut within (3) months from date of hireUpon successful certification, a trainee will be eligible to be employed as an Emergency Medical Technician with the companyThe individual must accompany a Field Training Officer to assist and administer out of hospital medical care and transport sick or injured persons to and from medical facilities, working as a member of an emergency medical team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily.
Operates emergency vehicles in accordance with regulations and company policy.
Assures proper stocking, re-stocking and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.
Accompanies Field Training Staff in patient assessment, treatment and transport within applicable regulations.
Responsible for performing various house duties at various locations; i.

, general cleanliness of the base location including sleeping quarters.
Attends company mandated staff sessions.
Complies with local medical control requirements for maintenance of their basic life support BLS certification.
