Meriden Public Schools is seeking BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). The BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) shall have the ability to work with students with behavior challenges.
Description:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Behavior Analyst, Special Education Supervisors, and Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel to further enhance the behavioral models currently being utilized.
  • Oversee specialized student programming and related support staff
  • Conducting functional behavioral assessments and skill based assessments (VBMAPPS, ABLLS, AFLS) with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop behavior intervention plans and learning goals and objectives based on assessments with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop individualized data collection systems.
  • Train all necessary staff on students behavior and learning plan and data collection systems.
  • Aid teachers and multidisciplinary teams in the development of academic, social and communicative programming to meet student individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teams on increasing students ability to access the least restrictive environment.
  • Educate and train a variety of school personnel on principles of behavior analysis in both the general and special education settings.
  • Other duties assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel or Lead Behavior Analyst.


Qualifications:

  • The chosen candidate will possess:
  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences or similar field
  • BCBA preferred (or to be obtained within 6-months of start)
  • 3-5 years of experience in the public school system (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years working with students with autism spectrum disorders or students with social/emotional disorders (Preferred)
  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans
  • Experience training school personnel
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
